About Cart Signal

Cart Signal is a free publication about AI and outsourcing for ecommerce and retail operations. It's written for owners and ops/CX leads at DTC brands, Shopify and Amazon sellers and multi-channel retailers who handle customer support, order operations (returns, WISMO, fulfillment exceptions) and catalog work. Who owns Cart Signal? {#ownership}

Cart Signal is owned and published by Uassist.ME LLC (uassistme.com), a nearshore BPO and virtual-assistant company. Because Uassist.ME sells the kind of help some of our readers buy, it has a commercial interest in how AI and outsourcing change retail operations. We don't call ourselves "independent."

How do we make editorial decisions?

1. Every factual claim links to its source, preferably the primary one, with a date (publication date, or the date we checked it).
2. If we can't verify something, we leave it out.
3. Vendor claims (resolution rates, savings) are labeled "vendor-reported." Forecasts are labeled as forecasts.
4. Prices come from the vendor's own page with the date checked, or "not publicly listed."
5. Pages show a "Last updated" date, and we re-check our top pages and every price quarterly.
6. Uassist.ME's services appear only on the Work with our publisher page, never in editorial copy. We don't use Uassist.ME figures in editorial.

How is Cart Signal funded? {#funding}

• Our publisher. Uassist.ME pays for Cart Signal. Your signup is stored by Uassist.ME, the publisher of Cart Signal. Uassist.ME contacts you about its services only if you tick the optional service-contact box on a signup form (see the Privacy Policy).
• Sponsors. Cart Signal has reserved one sponsor slot on the site and one in the digest. There are no sponsors today. If we add them, every placement will be labeled "Sponsored" or "Paid partnership," kept separate from editorial, and listed on this page. Sponsors never receive subscriber data.
